Sports media is not how it was before. Fans expect highlights in real time, leagues juggle multiple platforms, and teams are no longer just competing on the field but in the content game as well. Yet, many organizations still rely on outdated, fragmented systems to manage their media. That’s where ScorePlay comes in.

“Sports teams have seen a meteoric rise over the past 20 years, but their media infrastructures just haven't been able to keep up - they're still using Google Drive, Dropbox and WhatsApp. We saw that gap grow so we went directly to the end-user and co-constructed a tech solution made for the sports industry.

ScorePlay is built by and for sports organizations, which is one of the main reasons it has been hugely successful." says Victorien Tixier, CEO of ScorePlay.

The AI-driven sports media platform just secured a $13 million Series A round, with backing from some big names: Alexis Ohanian’s Seven Seven Six, NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo, former Formula 1 champion Nico Rosberg, and soccer legend Alex Morgan.

Venture capitalist Harry Stebbings’ 20VC led the round, alongside continued support from previous investors like Kevin Durant and Eli Manning. With this new funding, ScorePlay is looking to scale its AI-powered media infrastructure, which is already used by more than 200 sports organizations worldwide .

Why ScorePlay Matters The way sports media is produced and distributed has shifted dramatically. Teams and leagues aren’t just playing the game, they are also running their own media operations, competing for attention in an era of short-form clips, live updates, and digital-first audiences.

ScorePlay’s AI-powered platform automates the tagging, organizing, and distribution of sports content, making it easier for organizations to get their highlights out quickly and efficiently.

Alexis Ohanian , who owns teams in the NWSL, TGL golf, and the new track league, Athlos not only invested but also used ScorePlay.
