AVIA, a frontrunner in healthcare digital transformation, unveils the six-month milestones of its Generative AI Strategic Collaborative, marking a significant stride in advancing Gen AI adoption in healthcare.
This pioneering initiative, supported by 29 leading health systems and industry partners, including the American Hospital Association and the Children's Hospital Association, aims to accelerate the safe and effective integration of healthcare AI.
Empowering Collaboration and Innovation Launched in the summer of 2023, the AVIA Generative AI Strategic Collaborative brought together key stakeholders and expert speakers, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange.
With insights from over 170 stakeholders and 29 health systems, the collaborative developed 32 published use cases and five comprehensive frameworks, including the TRUSTED Framework, to guide ethical and effective AI utilization. "Generative AI is a powerful but still nascent technology...
to truly harness its potential," said Linda Finkel , CEO of AVIA. Enhanced Confidence and Governance A survey conducted at the Generative AI Action Forum revealed a remarkable 95% increase in participating health systems' confidence to act with AI since the collaborative's inception.
Furthermore, there was a significant 44% rise in the establishment of formalized AI governance structures, highlighting the impact and efficacy of the program in driving confidence and accountability in AI adoption.
