Mistplay has appointed Sampsa Jaatinen as Chief Data and AI Officer. Jaatinen will oversee the company’s global data operations and artificial intelligence initiatives. Mistplay CEO Ben Lyons said, “Sampsa brings deep experience in scaling data systems and applying analytics to improve user engagement.
His expertise will be crucial as we continue to refine our platform.” Jaatinen joined Mistplay after senior roles at gaming and technology companies, where he led data science and analytics teams.
Jaatinen’s Experience and Mistplay’s Data Approach Jaatinen spent several years at Unity Technologies as a founding member of its Data Science team. He also held leadership roles at Supercell and Rovio, overseeing analytics for game performance and advertising.
“I am excited to join Mistplay and work on transforming the way the company uses data to support its community of gamers,” Jaatinen said. Mistplay collects anonymized gameplay and behavioral data to guide product development and enhance user engagement.
The company uses this data to identify trends in user activity and refine platform features. Lyons explained, “Structured data management and actionable insights are core to our operations.
Sampsa’s appointment is central to advancing these capabilities.” Under Jaatinen, Mistplay will consolidate its data processes and enhance reporting accuracy. He will lead teams responsible for data engineering, analytics, and AI-driven systems.
Mistplay intends to apply these insights to optimize user experiences and support game developers partnering with the platform. Jaatinen’s experience with large-scale data systems and predictive modeling will support Mistplay’s existing analytics infrastructure.
He will work closely with product and engineering teams to align data operations with company objectives.
