Assort Health has raised $76 million in a Series B funding round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners. The round included participation from Felicis, First Round Capital, Chemistry, A*, Liquid2 Ventures, and Quiet Capital. Lightspeed partner Galym Imanbayev will also join the board while Paul Ricci, founding CEO of Nuance, will join as a board advisor.
This fresh capital brings Assort Health’s total funding to $102 million. Founded by Jeffery Liu and Jon Wang, their goal is to accelerate the growth of their comprehensive patient experience platform, Assort OS. The platform has already handled tens of millions of patient interactions across thousands of providers, aiming to transform patient experience.
Booking a doctor’s appointment is still a huge headache for millions of people. Patients face endless hold times, dropped calls, constantly being transferred around, and having to repeat their information over and over. These frustrations often lead to missed appointments and gaps in care. In fact, according to the American Academy of Physician Associates, adults in the U.S. spend about as much time each month just trying to navigate healthcare as they do working a full day.
Jeffery and Jon lived through this frustration firsthand. After spending two years digging into how healthcare operates, they started Assort Health in 2023 with a clear goal. To use agentic AI to improve patient engagement and reduce access barriers.
Standing Out with Speciality
What makes Assort Health truly stand out is its smart AI agents that are trained specifically for different medical specialities. These agents understand the complicated clinical rules, workflows, and preferences of each healthcare provider. By seamlessly connecting with electronic health records and practice management systems, Assort OS can handle everything from scheduling appointments and coordinating lab tests to renewing prescriptions and managing referrals.
The AI agents replace the inefficient and costly manual work handled by call centers and front desk staff, dramatically reducing wait times and improving patient satisfaction. Customers using Assort’s platform report 89% shorter call wait times and resolution rates exceeding 98%. Patient satisfaction scores regularly top 4.6 out of 5 stars across hundreds of practices nationwide.
Beyond patient convenience, Assort OS helps healthcare providers manage the increasing pressures of reduced reimbursements, rising costs, and persistent labor shortages. Administrative teams face overwhelming call volumes and complex workflows. Assort’s AI tools lighten this load, freeing staff to work on higher-level tasks while the AI handles routine patient interactions seamlessly.
“Getting the first impression right during a scheduling call is critical. Assort’s AI agent manages inbound calls and patient outreach with ease, simplifying internal operations and helping us deliver consistent quality care,” said Dr Titus Abraham of Annapolis Internal Medicine.
Achieving Maximum Output
Assort’s engineering teams consistently operate at maximum velocity, driven by a mission to improve healthcare access 1% every day. Eight-time Olympic champion and Assort investor Apolo Ohno praises the team’s dedication, saying, “What drew me to Assort Health was their relentless focus on the patient. I’m proud to support their effort to simplify healthcare for everyone.”
Co-CEO Jon Wang sees a future where healthcare doesn’t wait for patients to call months ahead. Instead, AI agents will predict what patients need next and help manage their care proactively. For example, after a cortisone injection, the AI will remind you to schedule your follow-up appointment, helping you stay on track for better health.
This vision aligns with a surge in AI investments, which hit $17.4 billion in Q3 2025, a 47% jump from last year.
“Patient engagement is the vital heartbeat of healthcare organizations. We’re excited to back Assort as it leads the shift to AI-native patient engagement platforms,” says Galym Imanbayev.
The impact of Assort’s platform is already tangible. High school teacher Suzanne Grinberg shares how she booked a dermatologist appointment at 5:30 AM on her way to work with a smooth AI assistant. This convenience is representative of Assort’s promise of eliminating the dreaded hold music and delivering a seamless patient experience.
The new funding will support Assort’s rapid expansion, growing its engineering, growth, and operations teams to accelerate the development of Assort OS.
