Hilton Launches AI Integrations With Google, ChatGPT and Claude

"As travellers' needs evolve, we are at the forefront of hospitality technology, developing experiences that create more seamless journeys."

Hilton is deploying AI integrations across its own Hilton AI Planner, Google AI Mode, ChatGPT, and a Claude Connector currently in development simultaneously.

This is to treat every AI assistant where travelers research trips as a potential booking channel rather than a marketing surface, according to the company.

As AI agents increasingly intermediate travel research, answering destination questions, comparing hotel options, and surfacing loyalty point availability before a traveler opens a booking site, hotel brands that are not discoverable within those AI conversations are absent from the consideration set before the decision is made.

Hilton's multi-platform integration is designed to ensure its properties are present across the AI surfaces where that research now begins, according to the company.

With the Google AI Mode integration, travelers can use natural language Honors Points redemption queries, and receive Hilton property results within the conversational interface. When ready to book, they are redirected to Hilton.com to complete the transaction.

Hilton retains control of the booking and the loyalty relationship while gaining presence in the AI discovery layer it does not control.

"As travellers' needs evolve, we are at the forefront of hospitality technology, developing experiences that create more seamless journeys, anticipating what comes next and leaving room for the unexpected," said Michael Leidinger, SVP and Chief Information Officer at Hilton.

The Hilton AI Planner, live on Hilton.com and rolling out in the Hilton Honors App, handles the inspiration and planning stage. Through conversational prompts, it helps travelers explore destinations, compare properties, and shape a stay around their priorities without navigating traditional search and filter interfaces.

It is the only AI surface Hilton fully controls and the only one where the entire journey from discovery to booking stays within Hilton's own platform, according to the company.

The ChatGPT plugin is already live, travelers who add it can ask Hilton-specific questions, receive property recommendations, and explore hotel details before continuing to Hilton.com to book.

The Claude Connector is in development and will add a layer the ChatGPT plugin currently lacks: property images, detailed descriptions, and pricing brought directly into Claude conversations, giving travelers visual and pricing context alongside text-based recommendations.

Hilton's post-booking digital infrastructure connects all four AI discovery surfaces to a single in-stay experience. Once a booking is confirmed, the Hilton Honors App supports digital check-in, room selection, Digital Key access at participating properties, in-app messaging with hotel staff, and Connected Room technology that allows guests to control in-room features from their own phone.

The discovery experience in AI and the in-stay experience in the app are designed to operate as a single continuous journey rather than two separate products, according to the company.
