FurtherAI Secures $25M Series A to Automate Insurance Workflows

With this funding, we’re doubling down on building AI workflows that give underwriters, brokers, and claims teams superpowers — freeing them to focus on the work that truly matters.

FurtherAI, a San Francisco-based startup focused on AI-driven automation for the insurance industry, has raised $25 million in Series A funding. Combined with its previous $5 million seed round, the company has now secured $30 million in total financing.

Founded in 2023 by Aman Gour (CEO) and Sashank Gondala (CTO), FurtherAI has developed a platform that automates insurance workflows, including submissions processing, underwriting audits, claims handling, policy comparisons, and compliance checks.

Gour has experience in product and workflow design, while Gondala has a background in machine learning and engineering, including building language models for virtual assistants. Their expertise supports FurtherAI’s focus on integrating AI into the day-to-day operations of insurance teams.

AI That Does the Heavy Lifting

The platform automates key insurance processes, reducing manual work and improving operational efficiency. Submissions processing, underwriting audits, claims management, and policy comparisons are all handled within a single AI-driven environment.

Clients using the platform include Accelerant, MSI, and Leavitt Group. According to company data, the platform manages billions of dollars in premiums annually. Policy comparisons exceed 95% accuracy, proposal generation is up to ten times faster, and submission-to-quote ratios have improved across client deployments.

Aman Gour, CEO of FurtherAI, said,  “With this funding, we’re doubling down on building AI workflows that give underwriters, brokers, and claims teams superpowers — freeing them to focus on the work that truly matters.”

The company also shared details of the round and platform impact on its LinkedIn page.

Turning Policies into Data Power

FurtherAI integrates with carrier and broker platforms and offers a modular workflow library. Insurance teams can configure AI-driven workflows, monitor performance, and adjust models for specific tasks. The platform processes structured and semi-structured data, supporting end-to-end automation for submissions, underwriting audits, claims validation, and compliance checks.

APIs provide transparency into workflow performance and operational outcomes, allowing teams to deploy AI-driven automation while retaining control. The system enables insurance professionals to handle high volumes of policies and claims efficiently without extensive IT overhead.

Driving Efficiency Across Insurance Operations

FurtherAI aims to be known as a domain-specific AI solution within the insuretech landscape. By embedding AI directly into insurance workflows, it improves accuracy, reduces turnaround times, and increases operational throughput across multiple client touchpoints.

Clients report measurable improvements. Policy comparisons maintain over 95% accuracy, proposals are generated up to ten times faster, and submission-to-quote ratios have increased. The platform supports underwriters, brokers, and claims staff, standardizing processes and ensuring consistent execution across high volumes of work.

In submissions processing, AI extracts data and flags anomalies; underwriting audits cross-check compliance requirements; claims workflows validate information and expedite approvals; and policy comparison tools provide rapid evaluations of coverage options.

Scaling AI Workflows with FurtherAI

FurtherAI’s Series A funding brings total capital to $30 million. The company is using this funding to expand its library of AI-driven workflows, enhance integrations with carrier and broker systems, and scale engineering and operational teams to support growth.

The platform delivers measurable improvements for clients, enabling insurance companies to streamline repetitive processes, increase accuracy, and manage operations efficiently.

Through a single AI-driven system, insurance teams can manage submissions, audits, claims, and policy comparisons efficiently while keeping control of their processes.
