EXL and Databricks Launch EXLdata.ai to Make Enterprise Data AI-Ready

EXL has unveiled EXLdata.ai, a first-of-its-kind agentic AI-native suite of data solutions designed to solve one of the biggest hurdles to enterprise AI adoption: making data usable for AI.

EXL has unveiled EXLdata.ai, a first-of-its-kind agentic AI-native suite of data solutions designed to solve one of the biggest hurdles to enterprise AI adoption: making data usable for AI. The launch comes in partnership with Databricks, enabling organizations to leverage Databricks’ flagship AI product, Agent Bricks, to build and optimize agents on enterprise data.

The new suite brings together data modernization, governance, and unstructured data management into a modular solution that embeds AI into data processes while making data AI-ready across the entire lifecycle. By doing so, EXL aims to unify fragmented systems and accelerate enterprises’ ability to infuse intelligence into business workflows.

Tackling Enterprise Data Challenges

According to EXL’s 2025 Enterprise AI Study, only 30% of organizations say their data is accessible enterprise-wide, with the rest hindered by data silos. Siloed, legacy systems stifle innovation and impede effective AI deployment. The problem is further compounded by unstructured data, which makes up 85% of enterprise information but remains a challenge for 65% of organizations, according to Everest Group.

EXLdata.ai directly addresses these issues by orchestrating structured and unstructured data using agentic AI and Databricks Agent Bricks. The solution delivers seamless data access and usability through AI-driven tools, purpose-built agents, and pre-built accelerators, while providing transparency into data movement and use to ensure trust, compliance, and readiness for AI.

EXLdata.ai also leverages Databricks Unity Catalog to transform governance from manual, error-prone tasks into dynamic, real-time intelligent automation, reducing enterprise risk at scale.

Leadership Views

“EXLdata.ai is a game-changer for enterprises, redefining how organizations make their data AI-ready,” said Rohit Kapoor, chairman and CEO at EXL. “By breaking down silos, boosting data visibility, and tackling unstructured data head-on, we’re transforming the data foundation for our clients. The result of our agentic AI-first approach is sharply reduced costs, quicker implementation (weeks instead of months), and improved accuracy. EXLdata.ai will truly unlock data and AI’s potential for enterprises.”

The solution is designed as a multi-agent system, where agents autonomously manage discovery, migration, engineering, governance, annotation, labeling, and operations across the full data lifecycle. Its modularity allows enterprises to adopt individual components or the full suite, all accessible through a centralized workbench.

Industry analysts see the solution as filling a pressing need. “Enterprises that want to scale AI effectively and securely must have AI-ready data, integrated development lifecycles, and AI-infused workflows,” said Jennifer Hamel, Senior Research Director, Enterprise Intelligence Services at IDC. “With EXLdata.ai, EXL aims to bring an agentic, platform-agnostic approach to help organizations modernize their data estate and engineer a robust foundation for AI deployments.”

Partnering With Databricks

Built with an open architecture, EXLdata.ai integrates seamlessly with clients’ existing data systems and partner platforms. Databricks, as the launch partner, brings governance capabilities and integrations with leading AI models to the solution.

“Clients are facing challenges making data AI-ready, and Databricks and EXL are addressing a major gap in the market,” said Barry Dauber, Vice President, GenAI GTM at Databricks. “EXL’s solution, powered by Databricks Agent Bricks, provides pre-built agents, annotation, and observability, which helps clients enrich data sources, improve model accuracy, and embed AI into workflows. This integration allows clients to connect, prepare, and govern data at scale, accelerating enterprise-wide AI adoption and measurable business value.”
