Teleskope Secures $25M to Scale Data Protection

The tools we used simply couldn’t keep up. With this new funding, we’re taking Teleskope to the next level, enabling organizations to confidently adopt AI and protect their data at scale.

Teleskope has raised $25 million in a Series A round to expand the reach of its agentic data security platform. The round was led by M13, with participation from Primary Venture Partners and Lerer Hippeau. This brings the company’s total funding to $32.2 million.

Founded by Elizabeth Nammour and Julie Trias, Teleskope develops tools that help enterprises secure sensitive information across sprawling digital environments. The company’s new round underscores a growing corporate need for automated, adaptive data protection systems.

“When I was a security engineer at Airbnb, I saw firsthand how difficult it was for even the most sophisticated companies to keep up with the volume and complexity of their data,” said Elizabeth Nammour. “The tools we used simply couldn’t keep up. With this new funding, we’re taking Teleskope to the next level, enabling organizations to confidently adopt AI and protect their data at scale.”

The Series A follows a period of steady growth for the New York–based company, which has been working with enterprises that handle high volumes of customer, financial, and operational data. The fresh capital will support product development and expansion across engineering, data science, and go-to-market teams.

Solving the Enterprise Data Dilemma

Enterprises today manage petabytes of data across cloud and on-premise systems, making visibility and control increasingly difficult. According to industry surveys cited by Teleskope, 74 percent of organizations report data security as their most significant barrier to innovation.

Teleskope’s platform approaches this problem through what it describes as an “agentic” model. Instead of simply monitoring or flagging data risks, the system actively classifies and secures information across environments, from cloud infrastructure and SaaS tools to hybrid enterprise networks.

The platform operates through a multi-stage classification pipeline that identifies and categorizes sensitive information. It then routes findings through a machine-learning engine that applies company-specific policies and initiates automated actions, such as redacting data, adjusting permissions, or alerting administrators. This context-aware remediation process enables organizations to manage security posture without manual intervention.

Teleskope’s product integrates with existing enterprise workflows, including systems for compliance, incident response, and data governance. The company’s approach is built to address the expanding surface area of enterprise data and the rapid incorporation of AI across operations.

Board Expansion and Enterprise Adoption

As part of the Series A, Karl Alomar, managing partner at M13, has joined Teleskope’s board of directors.

Teleskope’s customer base includes organizations such as Ramp, LegalZoom, GoFundMe, and The Atlantic. These clients represent industries where the balance between data utility and protection is most critical, finance, legal services, nonprofit platforms, and media.

As enterprises embed AI models into workflows, the need to safeguard sensitive training data and customer information has intensified. Teleskope’s focus on agentic automation fits into this emerging pattern of self-managing, policy-driven protection systems that adapt to changing data environments.

While Teleskope remains privately held, its technology and recent funding make it a key player in redefining how organizations secure data in an era of continuous AI deployment.

The company stated that it is currently hiring across engineering, data science, and go-to-market functions as it scales operations to meet enterprise demand.
