AAR Corp Named a New Chief Digital and Technology Officer

On August 31, AAR Corp, an American provider of aircraft maintenance services, appointed Sanjay Sood as Senior Vice President and Chief Digital and Technology Officer, overseeing enterprise systems, cybersecurity, data and analytics, and AI simultaneously under one mandate.

Sood arrives from CDW, where as CTO he modernized the company's platforms and data architecture, advanced AI initiatives, and managed the technical integration of multiple acquisitions. 

Before CDW, he led global engineering organizations at HERE Technologies and built emerging products, with earlier leadership roles at YP, AllVoices, and BuzzLabs completing a career that spans large-scale IT leadership, product development, and AI implementation across multiple industries.

The aviation aftermarket operates on maintenance schedules, parts traceability, engineering documentation, and government compliance requirements, all data-intensive functions where AI-driven analytics and automation have significant commercial potential. 

CDW's IT solutions business and HERE Technologies' mapping and location data business both required managing large-scale, structured data environments at speed, directly transferable experience to AAR's operational data challenge. Sood will report directly to Holmes.
