OpenEvidence and the Anticoagulation Forum (AC Forum) announced a strategic partnership on July 8 to expand access to artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled clinical guidance for antithrombotic care. The collaboration will integrate the AC Forum's evidence-based resources into OpenEvidence's clinical decision support platform, giving healthcare professionals access to specialty guidance within their existing workflows.
According to the announcement, the partnership combines the AC Forum's educational resources and multidisciplinary clinical guidance with OpenEvidence's AI-powered medical search platform to help clinicians make decisions on antithrombotic therapy. Antithrombotic medications are used to prevent or treat blood clots but require careful management because of the balance between reducing thrombosis risk and avoiding excessive bleeding.
AI platform expands specialty clinical guidance
Through the partnership, OpenEvidence users will gain access to the AC Forum's curated clinical resources, including concise guidance documents and practical decision-making tools designed for complex antithrombotic cases. The organizations also plan to identify common clinical questions and knowledge gaps using real-world platform usage, with those insights informing the development of additional educational resources.
