Choice Hotels Promotes Tony Pallas to Chief Technology Officer

"I look forward to working alongside our talented teams to build scalable solutions, advance AI-driven innovation, and deliver technologies that support our stakeholders' success."
Choice Hotels International has promoted Tony Pallas to Chief Technology Officer, placing him in charge of enterprise technology, engineering, and SkyTouch Technology, the company's hotel operations and property management platform.
Pallas reports to Anna Scozzafava, Chief Data, AI and Technology Officer, and will help drive Choice Hotels' next phase of technology innovation across its franchise network of more than 7,500 hotels in 51 countries.
Scozzafava described the appointment as a natural extension of Pallas's track record inside the company. "Tony is a proven leader with deep technology and hospitality experience," she said. "As we continue advancing our data, AI, and technology priorities, Tony's leadership will help strengthen our ability to scale innovation quickly, execute with excellence, and create long-term value for franchisees, customers, and guests."
Pallas has been at Choice Hotels for more than a decade, leading platform modernization, expanding cloud-based capabilities, and building solutions aimed at hotel performance and franchisee efficiency.
As Chief Commercial and Technology Officer for the hotel property management system business, he grew annual revenues by 68% and EBITDA by nearly 100%, according to the press release.
Most recently, he served as executive sponsor and chief architect for CHARLIE, one of several AI-powered solutions the company unveiled at its annual convention last month.
In his new role, Pallas will support the development and adoption of Choice Hotels' broader AI-enabled portfolio, including Business Direct, EasyBid, and RAISE - tools designed to help hotel owners capture demand, improve operational efficiency, and prepare for a more digital booking environment, according to the press release.
Before joining Choice Hotels, Pallas advised companies on emerging technology strategy and product development, leading teams that delivered custom software across web, mobile, and IoT platforms.
"I am honored to take on this role at such an exciting time for Choice Hotels," Pallas said. "I look forward to working alongside our talented teams to build scalable solutions, advance AI-driven innovation, and deliver technologies that support our stakeholders' success."
