Greystone Names Sahil Sagar as Chief Information and AI Officer

"I look forward to building on the strong foundation Greystone has established, with a focus on modern, purposeful infrastructure."
Greystone, a leading national commercial real estate finance company, has named Sahil Sagar as its Chief Information and Artificial Intelligence Officer, effective June 1, 2026.
The role is newly created, reflecting the firm's decision to place technology and AI strategy under dedicated executive leadership as it looks to strengthen its operational capabilities and enhance the client experience across its lending business. Sagar is based in New York and reports directly to Steve Rosenberg, CEO and Founder of Greystone.
"Technology is rapidly becoming the defining factor in how firms scale thoughtfully, create efficiency, and deliver outstanding client service," said Sagar. "I look forward to building on the strong foundation Greystone has established, with a focus on modern, purposeful infrastructure that advances innovation, operational excellence, and sustained business growth."
Sagar brings more than two decades of experience spanning engineering, artificial intelligence, and product leadership across both technology and financial services, according to the press release.
He joins from Citi, where he served as Managing Director and Global Head of AI and Operational Platforms for the Services business unit, overseeing global teams responsible for designing and implementing applications and shared platforms across Payments, Trade, Liquidity, Issuer Services, and Investor Services.
Before Citi, he held senior engineering and enterprise platform development roles at Amazon Web Services, Capital One, Aditi Technologies, and KPIT Cummins.
Sagar holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Sikkim Manipal University and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. He also holds multiple patents in data processing and task execution within cloud computing environments, giving his appointment a technical depth that goes beyond organizational leadership.
Commercial real estate finance is a sector where operational complexity, compliance demands, and client service expectations intersect in ways that make technology infrastructure a direct competitive variable.
Firms operating at scale in lending need systems that can handle the pace of deal flow, the precision required in underwriting, and the service continuity that institutional clients expect.
"We're thrilled to welcome Sahil to Greystone as we continue investing in the technology and infrastructure that support our long-term growth," said Steve Rosenberg, CEO of Greystone. "His proven ability to lead high-performing teams and execute enterprise-scale technology and AI transformation initiatives will help strengthen our operational capabilities, enhance the client experience, and further position Greystone as an innovation leader in commercial real estate finance."
