Mars Appoints Kemal Cetin as CDIO to Lead AI and Data Strategy for Its $36 Billion Snacking Business

"As we continue bringing together the newly acquired Kellanova brands, Kemal will play a key role in helping us move faster, make better decisions, and build for the future."

Mars announced on June 9, 2026 the appointment of Kemal Cetin as Global Chief Digital and Information Officer for its Snacking business, a newly filled role that places technology, data, and AI leadership at the senior team level.

Cetin takes the role effective August 3, 2026 and will report directly to Andrew Clarke, Global President of Mars Snacking, sitting on both the Mars Snacking Leadership Team and the Mars Digital Technologies Leadership Team, according to the press release.

Clarke framed the timing of the appointment directly. "As we continue bringing together the newly acquired Kellanova brands, Kemal will play a key role in helping us move faster, make better decisions, and build for the future," he said.

The Kellanova acquisition added PRINGLES, CHEEZ-IT, POP-TARTS, and KIND to a portfolio that already included SNICKERS, M&M'S, SKITTLES, and EXTRA, creating a $36 billion snacking business that requires significant technology integration work to operate coherently across brands, markets, and supply chains.

Cetin arrives with nearly 30 years of digital transformation experience at global FMCG companies, a career that spans Diageo, Coca Cola Enterprises, and Whirlpool across the US, UK, and Europe before his most recent role as Global Business and Digital Solutions Officer and Executive Team member at FrieslandCampina, one of the world's largest dairy companies by revenue.

That background is specifically suited to the challenge Mars Snacking faces. Large FMCG companies operating across multiple brands in multiple geographies with complex supply chains are among the most demanding environments for enterprise technology transformation, requiring the ability to standardize data and systems across acquired brands while maintaining the operational independence that individual brand teams need to function, according to the press release.

"I am honored to join Mars Snacking as its new Chief Digital and Information Officer," Cetin said in the announcement. "Together, we will advance the use of digital technologies, data, analytics and AI capabilities to drive sustainable growth and create lasting value for our consumers, customers and Associates."

Cetin's role covers the full digital, data, and technology agenda for the snacking business, with AI capabilities named explicitly in his own statement as a priority alongside data and analytics.

Mars Snacking's scale, $36 billion in revenue, operating across dozens of markets and manufacturing facilities globally, gives Cetin a meaningful canvas for that work.
