Raj Babu

Raj Babu is the Founder and CEO of Agilisium Consulting, an Austin-headquartered AI services company purpose-built for the life sciences industry. Agilisium positions itself as a domain-native AI consulting and services company, "from molecule to market" — combining deep pharma and biotech expertise with applied AI, GenAI, and agentic AI to transform the life sciences value chain across drug discovery, clinical development, manufacturing, and commercial operations. The company has built a clear differentiator in L3–L5 domain-process detailed agentic AI for pharma — going deeper into workflow specificity than horizontal AI services firms can reach.

Raj founded Agilisium in January 2014, and through Agilisium Labs — its dedicated GenAI and applied AI incubation arm launched in 2024 — has been one of the most consistent voices on operationalising GenAI in regulated pharma environments. Before Agilisium, he was Senior Director of Global Enterprise Application & Infrastructure Architecture at Universal Music Group for over five years, led BI and data warehousing at 21st Century Fox for six years, and held earlier engineering and consulting roles at Comcast and MicroStrategy. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Madras and is based in the Austin, Texas metropolitan area.

Raj earns his place on the AIM Next 15 AI CEOs in America 2026 for building one of the most credible vertically-focused AI services companies in the US — operating in the single industry where AI's promise (faster drug discovery, smarter clinical trials, better patient outcomes) is most consequential and most regulated. As global pharma moves from AI experimentation to production-grade agentic systems through 2026, Agilisium is positioned at the intersection of two of the hardest problems in enterprise AI today: deep domain depth, and the trust-and-compliance bar that regulated industries demand.
