Lowe's is one of the world's largest home improvement retailers, operating more than 1,700 stores across the US and Canada and serving both homeowners and professional customers.

Chandhu Nair leads Lowe's AI strategy, data and analytics organization, and Innovation Labs from a single integrated role, one of the broadest mandates for AI leadership at any major US retailer.

He brings over 20 years of technology transformation experience, including as co-founder and CEO of Cognitive Retail Inc., an AI company serving US retailers, and leadership roles at Staples and Infosys. He serves on the Board of Industry Leaders at the Consumer Technology Association and the Wall Street Journal Technology Council.

At Lowe's, he established an early partnership with OpenAI in 2021, before ChatGPT's public debut, and built the AI strategy around three anchors: how customers shop, how stores sell, and how employees work. Under his leadership, Lowe's launched Mylow, an AI-powered assistant for customers answering home improvement questions at a scale of approximately one million queries a month,

"AI will fundamentally evolve all aspects of retail operations, especially as it shifts how customers discover and shop for products. Retailers that move early will be well-positioned to stay relevant in this rapidly changing landscape," Chandhu Nair told AIM Media House.
