Jaime Mineart became the Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of

Caterpillar in January 2025, taking charge of the company’s technology strategy across

AI, research and development, autonomy, and customer jobsite optimization.

digital engineering.

She leads Cat Technology, an organization which oversees AI platform development,

machine and site autonomy, and enterprise technologies that support Caterpillar’s

global portfolio of construction, mining, and energy equipment.

Mineart joined Caterpillar as an intern at age 18 and has spent more than 25 years with the company in leadership roles spanning power systems, energy, and emerging technologies. Before becoming CTO, she led the Electric Power Division, overseeing generators, renewable energy assets, power optimization technologies, and aftermarket services.

Her current mandate focuses on autonomous machines, connected worksites, and

enterprise technologies that solve customers’ toughest challenges. The strategy

reflects Caterpillar’s effort to embed physical AI and automation across its products and

in customers’ jobsite operations, combining connected equipment, edge computing, and

enterprise data systems to improve safety, productivity, and decision-making across

industrial environments.

“Our vision for the future of AI is to move intelligence beyond software and into the real

world, embedding AI directly into the machines, equipment, and workflows that power

our industries,” Mineart said. “By combining AI, edge computing, and connected assets, we can help people make better decisions, improve safety and productivity, and create smarter

systems that learn and adapt wherever work gets done. The true opportunity for AI is

not just automating tasks but augmenting human expertise to solve complex challenges

at scale.”
