In 2016, brothers Amir and Ohad Hever had a vision to transform the way vehicles are inspected. Frustrated by the slow and often inaccurate nature of manual inspections, the founders aimed to develop a system that would be faster, more reliable, and capable of detecting even the slightest flaws. With their expertise in AI and a passion for automobiles, they established UVeye in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Their dedication and innovative thinking quickly paid off. UVeye developed a unique drive-through inspection system that combined advanced AI algorithms with state-of-the-art sensors. This system known as the "MRI for vehicles," could scan a car in seconds, identifying everything from frame damage and fluid leaks to tire wear and even suspicious modifications.
A Trio of Technological Marvels
UVeye's initial focus was on underbody inspections, an area often neglected in traditional inspections. Their first product, Helios, was designed to address this gap. In the past, evaluating a car's condition required a mechanic to spend a significant amount of time on a lift, carefully inspecting the undercarriage. With Helios, this process has been streamlined. The car simply drives over the Helios scanner, and within seconds, a detailed report is generated. This report highlights any areas of concern, such as frame damage, missing parts, fluid leaks, and corrosion.
