Amdocs and Nvidia Tap on the Telecommunications Industry

Amdocs, a company that offers software and services to communication and media firms, has revealed progress in promoting the use of generative AI in the telecommunications field. Teaming up with NVIDIA, a tech firm Amdocs has reached goals to improve operations in the telecommunications industry worth $1.7 trillion.

The Collaboration

Amdocs has closely collaborated with NVIDIA to integrate NVIDIA’s comprehensive AI foundry service into its generative AI platform, amAIz. This collaboration has focused on leveraging generative AI to revolutionize customer experiences and streamline operational processes within the telecommunications sector.

Key Achievements

The partnership between Amdocs and NVIDIA has produced outstanding outcomes in collaborative initiatives that make use of Amdocs' telecom taxonomy and generative AI expertise:

Reduced Operating Costs: Amdocs' telecom retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) on NVIDIA infrastructure has resulted in a notable decrease in the amount of tokens used for use cases that have been deployed. This decrease results in 40% less inferencing and up to 60% less data pre-processing, providing the same level of accuracy at a significantly lower cost per token.
