Crusoe Opens Colorado Factory to Mass-Produce Modular AI Data Centers

Brighton facility will produce deployable compute units in as little as three months

    Last updated

Crusoe, a Denver-based AI infrastructure company, announced Thursday it will open a 352,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Brighton, Colorado, dedicated to producing self-contained, deployable data centers it calls Crusoe Spark units.

The company is committing more than $200 million to the project, which it expects will create over 200 local jobs. The first factory-produced units are slated for completion in the third quarter of 2026.

Each Spark unit ships as a complete package, with power, cooling, fire suppression, remote monitoring, and high-density GPU racks built in. Deployments can scale from a few hundred kilowatts up to hundreds of megawatts, and units can be clustered to form larger compute installations.

Crusoe says it can deliver a configured unit in as little as three months, compared to timelines that typically stretch 18 months or more for purpose-built data centers. The company frames the difference as a shift from construction to manufacturing.
