Mercedes-Benz has introduced a fully electric version of its C-Class, positioning it as a software-defined vehicle built on its MB.OS operating system and an updated MBUX infotainment system integrating multiple AI models.
The new model includes the fourth generation of Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX), which combines AI capabilities from ChatGPT-4o, Microsoft Bing, and Google Gemini into a single in-car system. The company said the system selects models based on the type of query and context, enabling conversational interaction and task execution within the vehicle.
Mercedes-Benz has been expanding in-car AI capabilities in recent years, including efforts to embed intelligence directly into vehicles through its MB.OS architecture.
