Truist Has Delivered 2 Billion AI-Powered Financial Insights Since 2023

"Reaching 2 billion insights represents 2 billion moments of proactive care, opportunities to deliver knowledge and support in ways that are personal, timely and useful."

Two billion proactive financial insights delivered to clients since 2023. That is the number Truist Financial Corporation announced on September 3.

Truist Insights uses data, analytics, and AI-powered personalization to turn a client's financial activity into timely, contextual observations. The system monitors cash flow patterns, income and expense changes, subscription activity, potential duplicate transactions, and balance shifts, and surfaces those observations inside the digital channels where clients are already engaging, including account details, planning dashboards, Truist Assist, and push notifications.

The integration is designed so that a client managing their account sees a relevant observation in context rather than receiving a separate alert requiring them to navigate to a different part of the app, according to the company.

"Reaching 2 billion insights represents 2 billion moments of proactive care, opportunities to deliver knowledge and support in ways that are personal, timely and useful," said Dontá Wilson, Chief Consumer and Small Business Banking Officer at Truist. "By combining AI-driven, proactive insights with the expertise of our teammates, we're creating experiences that are digitally empowered and deeply relational."

Truist Insights carries a 4.5 client satisfaction rating, and the company measures engagement not by opens alone but by whether a client takes the next step after viewing an insight, such as navigating to a recommended product or viewing additional detail.

That behavioral signal is more commercially meaningful because it measures whether the insight prompted action rather than merely capturing attention. More than 70% of overall Truist transactions now happen digitally and more than 80% of deposits occur through self-serve channels, according to the company.

At that level of digital engagement, an AI personalization layer that surfaces relevant observations in the flow of the digital banking experience reaches a meaningful share of the client base without requiring them to seek out the feature separately.

"Personalization is how we show care at scale," said Sherry Graziano, Head of Digital, Client Experience and Marketing at Truist. "By using data responsibly to anticipate client needs and connect them to the right support at the right time, we're making banking more personal, proactive and relevant in the moments that matter."

Truist said it is continuing to expand Truist Insights into more channels and teammate tools, using client feedback, research, and design practices to improve digital journeys while maintaining the connection between AI-driven personalization and human support. Clients retain the ability to opt out of Truist Insights at any time.
