Brown & Brown Launches COMPASS to Bring AI Into Insurance Buying Decisions

Brown & Brown introduced COMPASS on October 22, 2026, an intelligence initiative that combines the brokerage's proprietary data, analytics, insurance expertise, and AI capabilities.

The platform is designed to support risk assessment, insurance purchasing, and portfolio optimization across Property & Casualty, Employee Benefits, and Personal Lines, according to the company.

The rollout starts internally. Brown & Brown expects COMPASS-powered knowledge assistants and business intelligence tools to reach thousands of employees by the end of 2026, beginning in the U.S. An expanded suite of customer solutions across its three main segments is planned for early 2027.

"COMPASS brings together capabilities that have traditionally operated separately, giving our teams a more complete view of a customer's risks and opportunities and helping turn fragmented information into relevant insight," said Steve Hearn, president of Brown & Brown Retail. "That broader context can support more informed recommendations, better decisions and stronger outcomes across the insurance value chain."
