JFB, XTEND Deliver $8.8 Million U.S. AI Robotics Contract

The $8.8 million contract tested AI-enabled robotic systems in real-world operational environments.

JFB Construction Holdings and XTEND have completed an $8.8 million U.S. Government contract involving AI-powered drones and robotic systems, according to a press release.

The contract covered the delivery of prototype systems, ground control equipment, and mission payload modules. The companies said the systems met government requirements during testing conducted in operational conditions.

The final phase included system training and evaluation activities. These involved live-flight exercises, mission planning, and system deployment under controlled scenarios.

The companies said the systems underwent inspections and performance validation during testing. The process generated data intended to support further development and deployment.

XTEND develops AI-powered drones and robotic systems for defense and security applications. Its platform enables operators to control multiple systems in real time during mission operations.

According to company documentation, the systems run on XTEND’s proprietary software platform, which allows a single operator to control multiple drones or robotic units during missions. The platform integrates control, navigation, and payload functions into a single interface.

The company has deployed more than 10,000 systems across over 30 countries, according to the release. Its systems have been used by U.S. and allied defense organizations and tested in operational environments.

The contract adds to XTEND’s existing work with the U.S. Department of Defense on AI-enabled drone systems. The company has secured multiple defense-related contracts tied to autonomous platforms in recent years.

XTEND is headquartered in Tampa, Florida, where it has established U.S.-based production to support defense contracts. It operates a broader manufacturing network aligned with U.S. compliance requirements.

JFB Construction Holdings is a U.S.-based construction and development company providing general contracting and construction management services across multiple states.

The companies previously announced plans to combine in an all-stock transaction. The combined entity is expected to operate as XTEND AI Robotics and list on a U.S. national securities exchange under the ticker XTND.
