McGraw Hill Extends Its AI Math Platform

"ALEKS is widely used across K-12 and higher education globally as a trusted solution for personalized math instruction."
McGraw Hill announced two new additions to its AI-powered ALEKS portfolio on June 29, 2026, extending the platform's reach at both ends of the K-12 through higher education math sequence with ALEKS Adventure for Grades 4-5 and ALEKS for Calculus II.
ALEKS Adventure now offers a complete K-5 experience with the addition of Grades 4-5, building on the Grades K-3 coverage already in use by schools and educators globally, according to the press release.
The new offerings are built on the same adaptive ALEKS model but are designed specifically for older elementary students, combining rigorous math learning with shorter 10-15 minute lessons, guided practice, and frequent mastery checks that fit naturally into classroom routines.
"ALEKS is widely used across K-12 and higher education globally as a trusted solution for personalized math instruction," said Lori Anderson, Chief Product Officer at McGraw Hill. "These additions expand its reach across grade levels and advanced math courses."
At the opposite end of the math sequence, ALEKS for Calculus II follows the 2025 release of Calculus I, with Calculus III planned for the 2027-28 academic year.
The product uses AI-driven machine learning trained on billions of ALEKS data points to help students build on prior learning as they progress into more advanced concepts, reinforcing foundational knowledge specifically as coursework grows more complex, according to the press release.
Together, the two releases extend ALEKS across a platform that, according to the company, has supported more than 65 million students over more than 25 years.
The system's core function has remained consistent across that span, using AI and learning science to assess a student's knowledge from Kindergarten-level math through Calculus, then identifying specific gaps so educators can direct each student to the skills they are ready to learn next.
McGraw Hill cited internal data showing students using ALEKS generally achieve topic mastery more than 90% of the time, and pointed to recent case studies of ALEKS Adventure in early elementary classrooms that showed measurable point gains in assessment scores and stronger end-of-year math performance.
ALEKS is used alongside McGraw Hill's core programs, including Reveal Math, positioning the platform as a personalized supplement to existing classroom curricula.
