How Will Qualcomm and Hugging Face Collaborate?

The companies said the collaboration will connect Hugging Face's AI ecosystem with Qualcomm's device and data center platforms.

On June 24, 2026, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. announced the expansion of its strategic relationship with Hugging Face to support open artificial intelligence (AI) model deployment across edge devices and cloud infrastructure. According to the companies, the collaboration is designed to connect Qualcomm's device and data center platforms with Hugging Face's model ecosystem and developer tools.

"By combining Qualcomm's leadership in high-performance, low-power computing with Hugging Face's vibrant developer ecosystem, we are enabling a new generation of AI applications that seamlessly span device and cloud," said Cristiano Amon, President and Chief Executive Officer of Qualcomm.

Hugging Face's storage and inference services are planned to run on Qualcomm Dragonfly data center solutions, providing developers with a path from model experimentation to production deployment.

What the Partnership Covers

As per the release, AI models from the Hugging Face ecosystem are planned to be onboarded onto Qualcomm platforms using an agent that handles setup, optimization, and deployment without manual integration. The workflow is intended to support deployment across smartphones, personal computers (PCs), wearables, automotive platforms, industrial systems, edge infrastructure, and data center solutions.

The companies also plan to develop a Hugging Face Agent for hybrid orchestration of AI workloads across device and cloud environments. The agent is to be designed to dynamically route models and workflows based on factors including performance, cost, privacy, and latency, the companies said.

As part of the collaboration, Hugging Face will provide access to its Hugging Face PRO subscription for customers utilizing Qualcomm Technologies' device or cloud platforms.  Developers will also be able to access Modular's AI software components and tools through the Hugging Face ecosystem, the companies said.

"Increasingly the world is running on open and local models because they're more affordable than the big APIs and private by design," said Clément Delangue, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Hugging Face. "Together with Qualcomm Technologies, using Modular software and tools, we're making it easy for our 16 million developers to run open models everywhere, from a device in your hand to a full rack in the data center, with agents that work across the compute continuum."

According to the companies, the expanded relationship is intended to simplify AI deployment across device and cloud environments while supporting open model development and distributed AI applications.
