Hilton named Jeff Moore as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer on October 6, 2026, bringing in a senior engineering executive from Uber as the hospitality company moves to accelerate its AI agenda.
Moore starts October 26 and will report directly to Chris Nassetta, president and CEO, as a member of Hilton's Executive Committee.
The hire closes a search Hilton began in May, when Nassetta flagged AI as a significant opportunity ahead for the company.
Hilton has been laying the groundwork. The company launched the Hilton AI Planner, an AI-powered trip planning tool, in beta in March 2026, and has established partnerships with Google, OpenAI, and Anthropic to build out its AI capabilities. Moore joins as those investments move from pilot into broader deployment.
Moore brings more than 20 years of technology leadership experience across engineering, product, and operations at global scale.
At Uber, he led a global engineering organization of 2,500 engineers supporting Uber Eats, Uber for Merchant, Uber Direct, Uber Advertising, Growth and Marketing, Uber for Business, and Applied AI.
Before Uber, he held engineering and product leadership roles at Amazon, including as a founding leader within Fulfillment by Amazon and later overseeing the device portfolio โ Kindle, Fire TV, Fire Tablet, and Echo/Alexa products. Earlier in his career he worked in software engineering and operations at Anheuser-Busch. He holds three issued US patents.
"At a time of extraordinary change, Jeff Moore's deep technical expertise, operating experience and customer focus will help us move faster, harness AI and next-generation technology," Nassetta said in the announcement.
Moore described the AI agenda as a primary draw. "I was especially drawn to Hilton's ambition to harness AI and next-generation technology to reimagine the guest experience and empower team members," he said.
