SOSi and Janes announced a strategic partnership and product integration that will combine both companies’ intelligence datasets and analytics capabilities through SOSi’s exoINSIGHT platform, according to a joint announcement published on May 13. The integration combines SOSi’s curated open-source intelligence data and real-time signals with Janes’ analyst-validated military intelligence to help defense and intelligence customers assess operational risks, strategic influence, and emerging threats through a single platform. The companies said the combined system links military capability data with operational context, including public sentiment, supply chain activity, and influence operations. The platform also uses machine learning and natural language processing to identify patterns and relationships across large intelligence datasets. SOSi said exoINSIGHT contains more than five billion structured records tied to geopolitical competition involving China, Russia, and Iran. The platform includes data related to media activity, procurement records, scientific research, corporate networks, and defense industrial base information. The integration comes as defense organizations continue expanding investments in AI-driven military solutions and operational intelligence systems. Recent developments across the broader AI defense ecosystem have included autonomous military platforms, AI-enabled logistics systems, and unified intelligence workflows. Unified Intelligence and Operational Context SOSi CEO Julian Setian said the integration is designed to reduce fragmented intelligence workflows across disconnected systems. “For too long, analysts have had to connect the dots across tools that weren’t built to work together,” Setian said in the announcement. “This synergistic relationship changes that—fusing Janes validated intelligence with exoINSIGHT’s curated data to provide a unified, real-time understanding of both military capability and intent.” Janes contributes military intelligence datasets covering orders of battle, military equipment, facilities, defense companies, and market forecasts. The integrated platform also includes translation, visualization, narrative tracking, automated summarization, and relationship-mapping capabilities. According to the companies, analysts will be able to correlate military activity with disinformation campaigns, strategic communications, and global supply chain developments. The partnership reflects growing demand for unified AI data layers that can combine operational intelligence with real-time external signals.
