Breakout Fixes the Failures of AI Sales Agents by Making Buyer Engagement Smarter

While AI has surely made some changes in the healthcare and finance sectors, yet B2B sales remains stubbornly inefficient. Many AI sales solutions claim to automate and enhance the sales process, but they often fall short. Existing AI sales agents rely on rigid, scripted interactions that feel impersonal, failing to engage buyers in a meaningful way. Even more critically, these tools struggle to integrate real-time prospect data or sync effectively with CRM systems, resulting in disjointed conversations and missed opportunities.

Breakout, a startup developing AI-powered sales representatives, believes that AI should do more than just automate sales; it should transform how sales teams engage with buyers. Breakout has officially emerged from stealth mode, announcing a $3.25 million seed funding round led by Village Global, with participation from Recall Capital, Z21 Ventures, and a group of leading angel investors. The funding will be used to transition out of beta and expand access to more customers from its waitlist.

Sachin Gupta, Breakout’s co-founder and CEO, has deep experience in building scalable tech solutions. He previously founded HackerEarth, a technical hiring platform used by over 1,000 companies and 10 million developers. His co-founder, Hitesh Aggarwal, spent over a decade developing AI-driven products at Google and Citi. Together, they identified a major challenge in B2B sales scaling the early sales process effectively without losing engagement quality.

The Changing Landscape of B2B Buying

It is no secret that most buyers now prefer to conduct research independently before engaging with a sales team. Studies indicate that over 70% of the buying journey is completed before a prospect even speaks with a sales representative. During this time, they navigate company websites, third-party review platforms, and comparison sites often without receiving tailored assistance.
