Webull Brought Its Trading Platform Into Claude, Perplexity and Grok

Webull Brought Its Trading Platform Into Claude, Perplexity and Grok

"AI is changing how investors access information and interact with their brokerage accounts."

Webull announced on September 29 that its Cloud MCP server, a fully managed, Webull-hosted infrastructure layer, now supports trade preparation alongside market research and portfolio analysis.

The distinction between Cloud MCP and Webull's existing local MCP server is operationally significant. The local server requires users to install software, generate API credentials, and manage access keys, a setup process that restricts the capability to technically proficient users.

Cloud MCP eliminates all three requirements. Users connect their existing Webull account through a supported AI platform, authorize the capabilities they want to make available, and begin using Webull's trading tools through a conversational interface without any additional technical configuration.

The six capabilities now available through Cloud MCP cover the full pre-trade research workflow, according to the company.

Users can query real-time and historical market data across stocks, ETFs, options, futures, crypto, and event contracts; research company fundamentals and regulatory filings; run market screeners; view account balances, positions, and order history; manage watchlists; and have the AI assistant prepare an order based on the research it has conducted — all within the same conversation.

"AI is changing how investors access information and interact with their brokerage accounts," said Anthony Denier, Group President and US CEO of Webull. "By bringing trading capabilities to Cloud MCP, we're making it easier for investors to move from research to action through the AI platforms they already use, while keeping them in control of every trade."

According to the company, every prepared order requires separate customer confirmation before it can be submitted to the market. The AI assistant completes research, analyzes the position, and prepares the order, but cannot execute it without an explicit human approval at the final step.

That confirmation requirement is the same guardrail Robinhood built into its Agents product, announced the same day.

Cloud MCP is currently available to eligible Webull users in the United States through Claude, Perplexity, and Grok. ChatGPT availability is pending platform approval. Webull said it is working to expand to additional markets and AI platforms beyond the current US launch.
