Supabase Secures $80M Series C as It Quietly Dominates the Developer World

Supabase, the open-source developer platform once touted as a Firebase alternative, has just raised an impressive $80 million in its Series C funding round, led by Peak XV and Craft Ventures. This new injection of capital brings the company’s total funding to $196 million and solidifies its growing dominance in the database world, as more enterprises and startups flock to its developer-friendly, Postgres-centric platform. While the company hasn’t disclosed its valuation, co-founder and CEO Paul Copplestone emphasized that this was an "up round," signaling an increase in market value.
