Campbell’s Names Vijay Gandapodi Vice President of Data, Analytics & AI

“I’m continuing my path in building Data & AI capabilities inside large CPG organisations” he said.
U.S.-based packaged foods and beverages maker The Campbell’s Company has appointed Vijay Gandapodi as Vice President of Data, Analytics & AI. The role places responsibility for enterprise data, analytics, and artificial intelligence under a single executive leader.
Gandapodi joins Campbell’s from Reynolds American Inc., where he served as Vice President of Enterprise Data Analytics & AI. At Reynolds, he led a $15 million analytics and AI business unit supporting marketing, finance, manufacturing, supply chain, research and development, and ESG functions, while delivering enterprise-wide analytics programs.
Before Reynolds, Gandapodi held senior data and analytics leadership roles at The Coca-Cola Company and other global organisations. Across these roles, he led large analytics teams, managed multi-million-dollar portfolios, and worked on scaling analytics and machine learning capabilities within complex, multinational operating environments.
What the Role Covers Inside Campbell’s
The Vice President of Data, Analytics & AI role consolidates leadership of enterprise data platforms, analytics teams, and AI development at Campbell’s. Responsibilities include oversight of data science and analytics functions and governance of analytics programs used across business and corporate functions. Campbell’s has not disclosed specific initiatives, timelines, or investment levels tied to the appointment. The company has also not announced changes to reporting structures associated with the role.
Large consumer packaged goods companies increasingly centralise analytics and AI leadership as data volumes grow and analytical systems become more embedded in day-to-day operations. Senior roles overseeing data and analytics are used to coordinate efforts across supply chain, manufacturing, commercial, and corporate functions.
Companies such as PepsiCo, Procter & Gamble, and Unilever have expanded enterprise analytics leadership roles through publicly reported appointments and organisational disclosures. These roles typically combine responsibility for data infrastructure and analytics delivery rather than separating them across multiple functions.
Gandapodi’s background spans consumer brands and long-established organisations with complex operating models. His prior roles focused on enterprise analytics delivery at scale rather than isolated technology initiatives, aligning with how mature CPG companies structure data and analytics leadership.
Commenting on the appointment, Gandapodi wrote in a LinkedIn post: “This role continues my path in the Data & AI space across major CPG organizations — now my third large CPG company after impactful years at Reynolds and The Coca-Cola Company. Campbell’s also becomes the fifth organization over 100 years old that I’ve had the privilege to serve, following Cox, Coca-Cola, Georgia State University, and Reynolds.”
