Zoom Launched an AI Sales Coach That Works During the Call

"We believe AI should do more than summarize interactions."
Zoom announced updates to Zoom Revenue Accelerator on July 22, 2026, introducing three AI capabilities that collectively shift the platform's role from post-call intelligence to in-call execution support, a distinction that reflects where AI in sales technology is heading more broadly.
The new Sales Assist feature provides sales representatives with competitive intelligence, objection-handling guidance, and discovery prompts during live customer calls. The capability delivers recommendations in real time instead of generating insights after a conversation has ended.
The other two capabilities extend the platform's analytical reach. Ask ZRA allows sellers and managers to query conversation data and revenue metrics in natural language, and Sales Roleplay uses AI to generate practice sessions built on actual customer scenarios rather than generic scripts.
"We believe AI should do more than summarize interactions; it should help revenue teams prepare smarter by coaching continuously, and execute with confidence to drive more pipeline," said Madison Muchow, General Manager of Zoom Revenue Accelerator at Zoom.
The three capabilities are being introduced alongside two new pricing tiers that formalize Zoom Revenue Accelerator as a standalone commercial product rather than a feature within the broader Zoom platform, according to the press release.
Essentials, launching in August, starts at $66 per user per month billed annually and uses a consumption model for advanced AI features. Premium starts at $99.99 per user per month billed annually and includes unlimited Sales Assist usage alongside recurring monthly AI credits for Ask ZRA and Sales Roleplay.
Zoom cited an IDC report indicating that 34% of sales executives consider improving interoperability across systems their top priority, while 28% are focused on reducing the number of sales tools and vendors they manage.
The findings highlight ongoing pressure to simplify sales technology stacks as organizations look to reduce integration complexity and consolidate software vendors.
Zoom Revenue Accelerator's position, AI capabilities built on top of the communication infrastructure many sales organizations already use, is its stated answer to the vendor consolidation pressure.
The platform builds on existing conversation intelligence, coaching, and forecasting capabilities, and Zoom also announced an MCP Server integration with OpenAI Codex to extend revenue intelligence to compatible AI platforms and enterprise workflows beyond the Zoom environment.
