Snowflake and Palantir Announce Partnership to Streamline Enterprise AI

By aligning with Snowflake, Palantir is extending its reach into enterprises that are already invested heavily in Snowflake’s cloud ecosystem.

Snowflake and Palantir, two of the most prominent names in enterprise software, have unveiled a new partnership designed to simplify how organizations build and deploy artificial intelligence. The agreement links Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud with Palantir’s Foundry and Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP), giving customers the ability to create unified data pipelines, run analytics at scale, and launch AI applications with less duplication and complexity.

The companies emphasized that the integration provides what they call bidirectional, zero-copy interoperability between Snowflake Iceberg Tables and Palantir platforms. Instead of replicating data across environments, enterprises can maintain a single source of truth that moves seamlessly between Snowflake’s core cloud data infrastructure and Palantir’s analytics and AI systems. For organizations that rely on both, the arrangement addresses long-standing challenges around data governance and operational efficiency.

Eaton Demonstrates Enterprise Adoption

Eaton, the global intelligent power management company with operations in more than 175 countries, has emerged as one of the first enterprises to demonstrate how the new partnership can be applied in practice. The company has been working with both platforms to consolidate data from a wide range of sources, creating a unified, secure environment that is optimized for AI-enabled workflows.

By relying on the integration rather than manually duplicating or transferring information, Eaton has been able to eliminate redundant tasks and accelerate development timelines for AI applications. Ross Schalmo, Chief Data Officer at Eaton, underscored how the collaboration shifts the company’s data efforts from movement to value creation. “With a native integration between Snowflake and Palantir, two of our strategic technology partners, we eliminate tedious data movement tasks allowing us to focus on delivering outcomes ranging from agentic configuration, pricing and quoting to digital twins on our shop floor and improved servicing of our products in the field,” he said.

Eaton has already begun applying the joint solution to its customer and supply chain operations. AI-driven order recommendations have been introduced to support on-time product delivery, while the company has connected engineering and manufacturing functions through supply chain orchestration. What began as localized process improvements is now evolving into global optimization, with agentic AI models supporting improvements in inventory management, delivery performance, and quality outcomes. The integration also provides end-to-end traceability by linking Eaton’s technical landscape through connectors and turnkey integrations across both platforms.

Ted Mabrey, Global Head of Commercial at Palantir, emphasized the value of interoperability for customers. “First-class interoperability means our customers win,” he said. “We are excited to partner with Snowflake to power our customers’ futures together, with Eaton setting the standard for what the AI-powered institution of the future will look like.”

Strategic Implications for Both Companies

For Snowflake, the Palantir partnership adds momentum to a year defined by aggressive positioning in artificial intelligence. The company’s shares have nearly doubled in 2025, far outpacing the broader technology market, as investors responded to strong earnings and new product initiatives. Snowflake has recently introduced Cortex AI, a suite of tools for generative AI applications within its Data Cloud, and partnered with NVIDIA to bring GPU acceleration into its environment. Management has consistently framed Snowflake not just as a data warehouse but as an AI platform, a positioning reinforced by this collaboration.

Palantir, known for its deep relationships in government and defense, has been expanding into commercial markets such as healthcare and financial services. Partnerships have become a key lever in that effort. Earlier this year, Palantir announced a similar integration with Databricks, among data and AI infrastructure providers. By aligning with Snowflake, Palantir is extending its reach into enterprises that are already invested heavily in Snowflake’s cloud ecosystem.

Executives from both companies characterized the agreement as a natural step in response to customer demand. Mike Gannon, Chief Revenue Officer at Snowflake, said the partnership was about reducing friction for enterprises that want to deploy intelligent applications quickly. “With this partnership, we’re providing our customers with the solutions they need today to be at the forefront of AI innovation, while also preparing them for the future by committing to close collaboration with the Palantir team to achieve their full potential through data and AI,” he said.

Databricks, widely considered Snowflake’s most formidable rival, was valued at around $100 billion this year and has been expanding its own integrations with AI providers. Snowflake announced its partnership with Palantir as part of its expanding set of integrations in data and AI, while Palantir added Snowflake to its roster of collaborators after striking a similar agreement with Databricks earlier this year.
