SmartRent Partners With Hexaware to Build an AI-Native Operating Model

"Hexaware brings technology, process and powerful resources, which will be essential as we move quickly to expand our footprint."

SmartRent announced a multi-year strategic partnership with Hexaware Technologies on July 6, 2026 to transform three connected areas of its operations including customer experience, revenue processes, and working capital management. The companies described it as an AI-native operating model built directly into daily workflows.

The partnership is structured around SmartRent's Vision 2028 framework, which targets scaling its go-to-market organization while strengthening operational rigor across a platform that supports millions of users in the rental housing industry, according to the press release.

Hexaware brings global delivery infrastructure, AI tooling, and business process expertise, the combination SmartRent is using to build what it describes as an infrastructure capable of accelerating growth while reducing operational complexity.

"Hexaware brings technology, process and powerful resources, which will be essential as we move quickly to expand our footprint," said Frank Martell, President and CEO of SmartRent. "In the coming quarters, this partnership should drive operating leverage, lower cost run rates and improve working capital execution."

Three Workstreams, One Operating Model

The customer experience workstream is the most immediately customer-facing of the three. Hexaware will deploy Voice AI agents alongside intelligent omnichannel orchestration covering voice, email, and chat.

The goal is to route and resolve high-volume, repetitive support queries automatically while preserving human involvement for complex cases that require specialist expertise, according to the press release.

SmartRent's support professionals are intended to spend less time on routine tasks and more time on the interactions that require judgment.

The lead-to-order workstream is built on a Salesforce Revenue Cloud Advanced implementation. Hexaware will transform SmartRent's enterprise quoting and contracting lifecycle, targeting faster quote cycles, stronger pricing governance, and a unified view of the revenue pipeline.

The stated commercial outcome is compressed sales cycles and structurally accelerated higher-margin revenue realization.

"We're pairing domain subject matter experts with Voice AI, transformed enterprise systems, AI-ready data, and redesigned workflows to give SmartRent an adaptive operations platform that improves with every interaction," said Suresh Kumar Bennet, EVP and Global Head of Business Process Services at Hexaware.

The working capital workstream addresses cash flow directly through automated cash application, specialized collection strike teams, and standardized, digitized billing for SmartRent's operator clients.

The partnership's governance model is structured to begin generating operational efficiencies before the end of 2026.

"By embedding AI-native capabilities directly into daily workflows, we are helping SmartRent build a highly efficient operating model tailored for sustainable, long-term scale," said Eravi Gopan, President and Global Head of Technology, Products and Platforms at Hexaware.
