NIQ Creates a New C-Suite Role to Turn Its AI Strategy Into Client Revenue

"AI is not a feature we are adding to NIQ; it is core to our product strategy."
NIQ announced on July 20, 2026 that Irina Stoian has joined the company as Chief AI Commercial Officer, a newly created role whose mandate is to convert NIQ's AI product portfolio into measurable commercial outcomes for clients.
Stoian comes from Palantir Technologies, where she spent nearly six years in roles spanning AI strategy, commercial operations, go-to-market execution, and enterprise transformation, most recently as Commercial AI Lead. Before Palantir, she held analytics and commercialization roles at Barclays.
"AI is not a feature we are adding to NIQ; it is core to our product strategy," said Jim Peck, CEO of NIQ. "Irina brings exactly the combination of commercial credibility and AI fluency we need to make that strategy land with clients."
Treangen described the CAICO role as created specifically to connect product strategy, commercialization, and client needs.
NIQ has a substantial AI portfolio, including ConnectAI, NIQ Optiq, and NIQ Cadence, and positions itself as trusted intelligence infrastructure for AI-driven commerce across more than 90 countries. The commercial translation of that infrastructure is what the new role owns, according to the press release.
Stoian's mandate formally connects five functions: Product, Technology, Commercial, Partnerships, and Marketing. In practice, that cross-functional scope reflects a recognition that AI commercialization at an enterprise data company requires alignment between what the product does, how it is priced, how it is sold, and how it is integrated into client environments, functions that in most organizations operate with significant distance between them.
"I joined NIQ because it has the rare combination of trusted data, strong products, global scale, exceptional talent, and deep customer relationships needed to be a leader in this next era," Stoian said. "What excites me most is the opportunity to help NIQ evolve from a trusted data partner into an infrastructure and technology partner that powers AI-driven commerce for clients around the world."
