IKS Health Completes TruBridge Acquisition to Expand AI Healthcare Platform

IKS Health has completed its acquisition of TruBridge, combining AI, EHR, and revenue cycle technologies to expand its reach across U.S. healthcare providers.

IKS Health has completed its acquisition of TruBridge, bringing together artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled care enablement, electronic health record (EHR), and revenue cycle management capabilities under a single platform aimed at healthcare providers across the United States.

The transaction, which was first announced in April, makes TruBridge a wholly owned subsidiary of IKS Health. Financial terms of the completed deal were not disclosed. According to the company, the combined organization now supports more than 2,000 healthcare organizations and over 150,000 clinicians, while significantly expanding its presence among rural and community hospitals.

Expanding AI Across Clinical and Administrative Workflows

IKS Health said the acquisition integrates TruBridge's EHR platform and revenue cycle management technologies with its AI-enabled care platform to help healthcare organizations streamline clinical, financial, and operational workflows. The company said the combined offering is designed to reduce administrative complexity while supporting providers throughout the patient care journey.

"Through this market expansion, we are uniting capabilities that move us further toward our goal of a combined system of record and system of action workflow that uses explainable AI-driven and human-in-the-loop solutions to reduce administrative friction, ease financial pressures, and close critical gaps in patient care," Sachin K. Gupta, Founder and Global CEO of IKS Health, said.

Gupta added that the acquisition allows the company to extend its offerings across independent physician practices, rural community hospitals, and large health systems.

The company said rural and community hospitals remain a key focus because they continue to face workforce shortages, financial constraints, and growing administrative demands. By combining AI capabilities, including specialized large language model applications, with healthcare workflow software, IKS Health aims to automate complex administrative processes while improving operational efficiency. The company estimates the addressable market for the combined business at approximately $260 billion.

The broader healthcare industry has increasingly adopted AI to reduce clinician documentation burdens and improve operational performance, with health systems reporting measurable gains from production AI deployments.

TruBridge Customers Continue on Existing Products

IKS Health said existing TruBridge customers will continue receiving support without service interruptions, and all current TruBridge products will remain available as standalone offerings. The company also plans to invest further in product development while expanding opportunities to offer services across its combined customer base regardless of the underlying EHR infrastructure.

TruBridge brings more than 45 years of experience serving rural and community healthcare providers and a customer base of over 1,500 healthcare organizations. Its portfolio includes EHR systems, revenue cycle management, medical coding, and analytics solutions.

"We are pleased to partner with IKS Health, as we share a deep, long-term commitment to helping healthcare organizations run efficiently, strengthen their financial health, and empower clinicians to practice at the top of their license," Chris Fowler, CEO of TruBridge, said.

Fowler said combining the companies' capabilities would help healthcare organizations optimize performance while navigating increasingly complex clinical and operational requirements.

The acquisition also reflects continued investment in AI-powered healthcare software as vendors seek to integrate clinical documentation, revenue cycle management, and administrative automation into unified platforms. Similar momentum has been visible across AI healthcare companies developing technology for clinical documentation and workflow automation.
