How Will GoDaddy Airo Transform Small Business?

The company said Airo's annualized bookings run rate climbed to $50 million in the second quarter, up from $10 million just one quarter earlier.

GoDaddy Inc. said during its second quarter 2026 earnings call on July 30, that it has integrated Airo AI Builder into a single Airo platform, describing it as an agentic operating system for small businesses. The domain registrar and web services provider said the unified Airo now handles website building, customer communications and payments, with additional commerce capabilities rolling out in the coming months.

Chief Executive Officer Aman Bhutani said "Building a business online takes more than a layer of AI. It takes secure hosting, payments, customer engagement tools, and dozens of other jobs most small businesses lack the time or expertise to stitch together themselves,"

"We now feel very good about Airo actually being the one operating system, the one tool that can build your websites in different ways, that can do customer communications for you, that can do payments, that can do commerce, and many, many other things," he added.

Airo’s Capabilities

According to the company, Airo can build storefronts, booking systems and client portals, helping small businesses manage day-to-day operations through a single platform. The company said capabilities that customers previously accessed across separate tools are now available within the unified Airo experience.

GoDaddy also said it recently added a stronger editor and templating capability to Airo. The company said the addition allows Airo to take over the functions of its separately developed Websites + Marketing product after testing the new capabilities during the second quarter.

GoDaddy said it had been developing an upgraded version of Websites + Marketing before concluding that Airo could deliver the same capabilities on its own.

The company said its Applications and Commerce bookings are moderating as this transition takes place but expects Airo's expanding scope to offset that impact over time.

Growth and Engagement

GoDaddy said Airo's annualized bookings run rate reached $50 million in the second quarter, a fivefold increase from the $10 million reported the prior quarter. The company said nearly all of this growth has been organic, achieved before a meaningful increase in marketing spend. GoDaddy also said its voice bot reduced the 24-hour repeat contact rate for customer service calls by more than 16 percentage points during the quarter.

Chief Financial Officer Mark McCaffrey said the shift is already showing up in customer behavior."We are seeing better free to paid conversion with Airo than we were seeing prior to Airo," McCaffrey said.

GoDaddy said it plans to continue expanding Airo's capabilities in the coming quarters and will share additional detail on its AI transformation strategy at an Investor Night scheduled for December 1, 2026, in Tempe, Arizona.
