Stitch Fix Appoints Sree Sreedhararaj as Chief Product and Technology Officer

"Sree has built technology platforms that make personalization at scale possible."
Stitch Fix announced on June 15, 2026 that Sree Sreedhararaj has joined the company as Chief Product and Technology Officer, a role that consolidates technology, product, data science, security, and IT under a single executive.
Sreedhararaj's career has been built specifically around personalization at scale, powered by AI, across some of the most data-intensive consumer retail environments in the industry, according to the press release.
Previously at IPSY, he led the development of a proprietary AI-powered personalization engine and oversaw the integration of agentic AI capabilities across the business. He also worked at Sephora, where he modernized the company's digital infrastructure and led its AI integration and personalization strategy.
"Sree has built technology platforms that make personalization at scale possible," said Matt Baer, CEO of Stitch Fix. "That perspective will be critical as we shape the next era of retail."
Stitch Fix's differentiation in apparel retail has always rested on combining algorithmic personalization with human Stylists who build trusted relationships with individual clients. This is a hybrid model that distinguishes it from both pure algorithmic recommendation engines and traditional human styling services, according to the press release.
Baer was explicit about how AI fits into that model going forward. "As AI unlocks new possibilities, we believe the future of retail lies in using this technology to create more human connections," he said.
That framing positions Sreedhararaj's mandate as expanding what the Stylist relationship can do, using AI to give human stylists richer client data and sharper personalization tools, rather than reducing the human element of the service.
"The company cracked the code on combining human connection with technology to deliver a superior shopping experience," he said. "I'm excited to partner with Matt and the entire product and technology organization. Together, we will build on that foundation, continue innovating for our clients and help more people discover styles they will love."
Sreedhararaj's path to Stitch Fix runs through engineering leadership roles at Walmart and a consulting tenure at Infosys, where he worked directly with Best Buy, Target, Nordstrom, and Gap.
